In Love: Gerda Steiner and Jörg Lenzlinger

27 Jan

Swiss artists Gerda Steiner and Jörg Lenzlinger have me spellbound. Their art is stunning- the kind of pieces that, when seen in person, could literally take your breath away. Their expression of the interaction of dichotomous materials, of myth, and adaptation, is at once mysterious and familiar. The process itself is intriguing, ( but perhaps most surprising is the way they write about their art. They are not explaining, so much as storytelling and you are left feeling as though the more you learn, the more open to interpretation the pieces become.
